What patients usually describe
Neuropathy shows up differently for everyone. Many of our patients first notice it in the evening, when they finally sit down to rest.
The most common signs of neuropathy, explained in under 3 minutes.
- Numbness or a dead feeling in the toes and feet
- Tingling, or pins and needles
- Burning or hot sensations
- Feet that feel cold even when they are warm to the touch
- Cramps in the feet or calves at night
- Trouble falling asleep or staying asleep because of foot discomfort
- Feeling less steady while walking
- Dry, fragile or darker skin on the feet, ankles or calves
If one or two of these sound familiar, a $49 evaluation is a simple way to find out what is going on.
What neuropathy actually is
Your feet are connected to your brain by thousands of tiny nerves. Each one carries a specific message: hot, cold, sharp, light touch.
With peripheral neuropathy, some of those nerves stop sending clear signals. That is why there can be numbness, tingling or burning, often starting in the toes and slowly moving up the foot and ankle.
Neuropathy is commonly linked to diabetes and chemotherapy, and sometimes there is no clear cause. Circulation can also play a role, which is why some people notice dry or darker skin on the lower legs.
Many people are told to simply manage the symptoms. We believe it is worth looking deeper at what is driving them, in partnership with your medical doctor.
A gentle, personalized approach to neuropathy
At WildBird we do not believe in one size fits all care. Every plan starts with advanced testing to see how the nerves are working. From there, Dr. Jo combines non invasive therapies chosen for your body and your goals.
Therapies that may be part of a plan
- Shockwave therapy
- Red and infrared light therapy
- Nerve stimulation
- Nutritional support
- Guided exercises for balance and mobility
Not every patient receives every therapy. Dr. Jo designs the combination after your evaluation.
